Afonina Katya Born in 1996 in Minsk (Belarus), from her childhood she was actively interested in painting and arts and crafts, but her parents were skeptical about creativity as a profession. That is why Katya received secondary special (Moscow State Linguistic University) and higher (Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration) education in remote areas. Despite her studies and work always continued to write, to experiment. In 2018 it was decided to get a professional education in the arts (Surikov Moscow State Academic Institute). In addition to the university, attended individual classes in the workshops of artists members of the MOSH, attended full-time and part-time master classes of foreign artists and illustrators. Katya defines herself as an interdisciplinary artist as she works with different subjects and uses different mediums: graphics, painting, sculpture, digital. The main influence on her creativity was the experiences related to the pressure of the society concerning the trends of secular life, brandism and notions of beauty. In her work Katya explores externally imposed trends and currents, as well as their impact on the formation of personality, public opinion, perception and lifestyle.
