Biography: Maria Magenta was Born in Germany. Received higher education in Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after Surikov in Moscow, specialization painting. Has a Master's degree. She has always been interesting to develop as a creative individual and find her own special language. Maria paints her picture from nature. In her works Maria wants to show a connection between animate and inanimate. For example, a living person, nature and a lifeless interior. It is important for her to depict the human body as a living organism, to show human condition or emotions in her portraits. Her main concern is the human condition. The space, an interior or a piece of furniture are devoid of emotion – only the sitter is alive in a lifeless space. Maria’s works focus on being physically present in a defined space. She aims to grab the attention of the viewer and ground them in the present moment. As the material Maria Magenta prefers oil on canvas: this helps to reveal its potential. In addition, Maria works in the architecture: it deals with mosaics, mural paintings of interiors and sgraffito. The creative experience of over 15 years. Inspired by the Impressionists and early Renaissance. Has a number of awards, including Dyagilevsky medal for contribution to Russian Art and the Gold Medal from the Russian Academy of Arts presented to her by Zurab Tsereteli
